Class Information
Classes this year are structured differently than they have been at past FTWG Conferences. We are no longer using the terms ‘ mini classes’ and ‘workshops.’ Instead, we are using the term ‘classes’ for all, regardless of the total number of instructional hours.
The schedule is based on instructional blocks, which may be either 3 hours long or 4 hours long.
Instructional Block Schedule
3 hour blocks
Thursday 1 pm – 4 pm
Friday 9 am – 12 pm
Friday 2 pm – 5 pm
Saturday 9 am – 12 pm
Saturday 2 pm – 5 pm
Sunday 9 am – 12 pm
4 hour blocks
Thursday 1 pm – 5 pm
Friday 8 am -12 pm
Friday 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Saturday 8 am – 12 pm
Saturday 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Sunday 8 am – 12 pm
- Total class length for classes scheduled in 3 hour blocks is either 3, 6, 9, or 15 hours. Fifteen hour classes are the same 2.5 day experience that FTWG used to call ‘workshops.’
- Total class length for classes scheduled in 4 hour blocks is either 4 or 8 hours.
- In the class list below, there is a banner at the top of the class letting you know how long it is:
- ‘Half Day’ classes are either 3 or 4 hours of instruction
- ‘Full Day’ classes are either 6 or 8 hours of instruction
- ‘One and a Half Day’ classes are 9 hours of instruction
- Two and a Half Day classes are 15 hours of instruction
- Full Day classes consist of two instructional blocks on the same day.
- One and a Half Day classes and Two and a Half Day classes are scheduled so that all instruction happens on consecutive days.
Class Registration Fees
- Registration fees are paid to FTWG at the time you register for the Conference.
- In addition to the registration fee, most classes also have Materials Fees. The amount of the materials fee varies from one class to the next.
- Materials fees are paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of the class, preferably in cash. (No credit cards).
