It’s with great sadness that we cancel our 2020 conference. We were monitoring the ever-changing COVID-19 situation. With each day that passed, it became clearer that we had no option but to cancel. The vast majority of our attendees are high-risk. We love all our fiber friends and hope that we are able to see you at many Conferences to come.
Here’s how we plan to proceed:
Students – you will receive a full refund. For those who were charged a $30 cancellation fee, that will also be refunded. Please be patient as our treasurer, Barb Pietruk, will have to write 100+ checks. The checks will go to the address on your registration. If you need the check to be sent to a different address, please let me know as soon as possible.
Instructors (workshops and minis) – you will hear from your FTWG contact shortly with details. We hope we can schedule you for a future conference.
Vendors – Your booth fees will be reimbursed. You’ll be hearing from Alice Martin with details.
FTWG 2021
We usually announce some of the classes for the following year during conference. Please give VP Janice Lauterbach time to see what she can reschedule for next year. I know she already has some instructors lined up for 2021. We’ll announce as soon as possible.
We’ll miss seeing each other this year and hope COVID-19 is far in the past by next year!
Join us as we return to our Annual Conference campus on the shores of Lake Yale. Relax under the beautiful oaks as we leave the cares of the world behind for four days of fiber, fun and fellowship. Located near Eustis, Florida, an hour north of Orlando, your hotel room/RV is right here along with a cafeteria where all meals are provided. We offer a full schedule of activities including your choice of a 2.5 day workshop with an outstanding instructor, a fiber exhibit, fashion show, guild exhibits, commercial vendors and more. Come visit old friends, make new friends and spend four days in a relaxed, old Florida setting.
1:30 pm Guild tables packed up no later than this time.
