Square Twill Basket

Friday, 8 am to 12 pm
Friday, 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Start with a basket over 2, under 2 twill using gray/wine or gray/navy and natural reeds. Twine to keep base in place. Upset the spokes and continue the twill up the sides. A rope handle and waxed linen lasher finish the basket.
- Basket tools:
- Scissors
- Packer
- Cable/zip ties
- Measuring tape
- Bucket
- Two towels (one for natural and one for dyed reed)
Peggy has been making baskets for over 30 years and teaching for over 25 years. She enjoys mixing up colors and weaving techniques in her baskets. Working with students is a terrific source of ideas for future baskets.
