Description

We will create a braided ornament! You will learn the basic rug braiding technique using new 100% wool. The finished ornament will be about 4” in diameter, ready to hang in your home in any season. The ornaments also make nice gifts for teachers and friends.

Includes wool for 2 ornaments -- one to make in class and one to make at home!

Registration Fees are paid when you register to attend the FTWG Conference. Materials fees are paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class. You should plan to pay the materials fee in cash.

Instructor Bio

Karen's home is in Ocala, Florida where she has a little fiber studio for teaching rug hooking. She's taught rug hooking for 12 years and has all the supplies students need. Her local group in Ocala is the Greenway Fiber Arts Society. They enjoy all fiber arts and love to learn new techniques. She is a member of the Weave it to Us rigid heddle group in the Villages, and the Weavers of Orlando. She has taught rug hooking classes at FTWG in the past as well as a couple of mini-classes.
