The inkle loom is a small loom with much impact. In this 2.5 day workshop, discover the joy of weaving simple or elaborate narrow bands that have an infinite number of uses on this portable little loom. The workshop will cover both plain weave and various pick-up pattern techniques. Additionally, students will learn: · how to efficiently warp an inkle loom · how to read and weave inkle pattern drafts · how to plan and design beautiful inkle designs The workshop will also include discussion of many useful inkle weaving tips and tricks. Whether you are a beginner or need a refresher class, this workshop is for you. Each student will weave on their own open sided inkle loom. With prior arrangement, the instructor has a few inkle looms to loan during the workshop.

Original Inkle patterns, class notes, inkle weaving tool kit. Inkle loom may be available for in-class use by prior arrangement with the instructor.
Registration Fees are paid when you register to attend the FTWG Conference. Materials fees are paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class. You should plan to pay the materials fee in cash.

Jennifer Williams is a passionate inkle band weaver. She has been a fiber enthusiast since childhood. However, when she was introduced to inkle weaving in 2012, she found her weaving passion. Jennifer is dedicated to sharing the art of inkle weaving as broadly as possible. She teaches beginning and advanced inkle weaving classes to guilds and individuals.
