Sydney Sogol, the visionary weaver and yarn dyer behind Syd's Threads, draws inspiration from the harmonious union of weaving and nature. Operating from her Durham, NC studio, Sydney meticulously hand-dyes and hand-paints plant-based yarn, infusing each thread with the vibrant hues inspired by avian muses. Her sustainable approach reflects a genuine connection to the environment, fostering a dance of complex colors and patterns that echo the beauty of birds in her original designs. Beyond crafting beautiful textiles, Sydney shares her passion through teaching, inviting others to discover the joy of weaving. In her hands, every creation becomes a testament to the art of intertwining nature and craftsmanship.
