The Ombre Osprey is a 1-3-5 twill basket featuring the eyes and beak of the fish hawk. Imagine that he sees his reflection in the blue-green water as he flies over and plucks his meal in a quick splash. This basket has a matching handle wrap and weave to compliment the overall design. The colors are dyed in varying shades of teal and aqua in an ombre effect.

Registration Fees are paid when you register to attend the FTWG Conference. Materials fees are paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class. You should plan to pay the materials fee in cash.

Laura Lee Zanger has been designing baskets and writing patterns since October 2000. She has been teaching on the basketry convention circuit since 2002. She enjoys expressing her creativity using the number rhythms found in Southeastern American Indian and African Congo twill techniques. Laura Lee has also written basketry poems and instructional books. Her goal is to enlighten everyone on the thrill of twill, weaving in single and double woven baskets, mats, and trays. Laura Lee has made several large mats and multiple baskets for Caddo Mounds State Historic Site Visitors Center in Alto, Texas.
