Description

Learn the ins and outs of Kumihimo braiding with seed beads. The instructor will guide you through the construction of an eight-cord with beads Kumihimo bracelet using a foam disk. Experience with the foam disk is helpful but not required. You will need a Kumihimo foam disk, 8 bobbins, a weight, and beading needle or Super Glue. Carol will supply the beads and cord.

Registration Fees are paid when you register to attend the FTWG Conference. Materials fees are paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class. You should plan to pay the materials fee in cash.

Instructor Bio

Carol has been a Kumihimo enthusiast for many years. She started with the Kumihimo foam disk but expanded to the marudai and takadai. Carol always comes back to the foam disk to make her beaded jewelry. The variation of Kumihimo jewelry and especially beaded jewelry is endless. You may have seen one of Carol's beaded Kumihimo pieces at the 2023 FTWG Conference Exhibition.
