3 Hours

  • Thursday, March 14, 1:00 pm
  • Saturday, March 16, 9:00 am

Description

During our 3 hours together, we write from prompts designed to awaken creativity you didn't even know you had. Prompts are very different from assignments which expect a particular outcome. When using prompts, you simply follow the pen in whatever circuitous route it chooses. You are writing a first draft; we encourage you to relax, have fun, and be surprised at what appears on the page.

We invite participants to share what they have written, as they feel inclined. Attendees and the workshop leader provide positive feedback - what works, what do we remember, what do we like - trusting that as we emphasize the positive, the negative fades away.

Thursday and Saturday are two separate sessions; each session is $35. You may register for one or both. The prompts will be the same during both sessions, but since the prompts are inspiration rather than an assignment, your writing can go in completely different directions, depending on how the prompt resonates with you each time.
