Description

This class will cover how to plan and execute beautiful hems primarily for towels and napkins. We will cover both hand and machine sewn hems. If you hate hemming, this workshop will show how to take the guesswork and pain out of hemming.

Registration Fee $35
Materials Fee $10

Materials Fee includes: Four page color handout and sample to practice on in class and then take home for reference.

Students to Bring

  • Sewing needle
  • Small scissors
  • 6 straight pins

Instructor Bio

Margarete Griffiths

Margarete has been weaving for over 20 years. She learned how to sew (and hem) at her mother’s knee (Mom was a master tailor and demanded perfection!). Margarete loves weaving towels, napkins, placemats, scarves, shawls, and recently, mug rugs, for friends and family.
