She currently teaches at the Knit and Stitch, a yarn shop in Cocoa Florida, where for 16 years she has held classes in knitting, crochet, and weaving. As a military wife, Barbara has lived in numerous states, and worked at everything from teacher, accountant, seamstress, benefit specialist in the corporate setting, including the shuttle program.

Barbara loves teaching rigid heddle weaving as an easy entry point into weaving with a lower cost to get started, simple warping and a wide availability of yarns that can be used.
