Felted Bird Pods
with Dawn Edwards
Come and enjoy a fun day of wet-felting as you create a felt bird pod which is sure to be a hit with your feathered friends. The bird pod will be made of naturally water repellent Bergschaf wool. Small birds such as Wrens, Nuthatches, and Chickadees will use them for shelter and/or nesting. This is a great introduction to 3D felting, employing the same techniques used in making hats, bags, slippers, etc. Watch as our flat felt pieces become three-dimensional.
