Uniquely dyed warps and skeins.
II have been weaving for over 50 years. I mainly now just wind weaving warps and dye them and also dye skeined yarns. I mainly use plant based cellulose fibers and I dye them with PRO MX fiber reactive dyes.
For the warps I have many sizes from 3/2 to about 20/2. The skeins are various yarns from plain yarns, boucle, thick and thin, krinkle, slubs, and mixed fibers. The way that I dye my warps are different than the way most people do them. I had one of those moments when I wondered what would happen if I tried it this way and after some experimenting I come up with the way that I dye. Each warp will be
different, even the ones that I dye at the same time with the same colors. They can have some of the appearance of small color pooling, shifted warps, ikat, and subtle color changes.
I use PRO MX fiber reactive dyes and the colors are colorfast.
