In this class, students will learn how a simple stick, a weight, and the application of twist come together to create the thread we use for weaving, knitting, crochet, or other fiber creations.

Thursday – Half Day afternoon

Material Fees

$20.00 to be paid directly to the instructor for 8 ounces of prepared wool fiber and three basic drop spindles; two smaller spindles for spinning singles and one larger spindle for plying

Emma Pinault

Emma Pinault

Emma Pinault developed a love of teaching and learning new things during her ten year career as a public librarian. Today she lives on a small farm in north Florida, where she can usually be found with a drop spindle in her hands if her fingers are not absolutely required for other activities.
