The Florida Tropical Weavers Guild (FTWG) invites you to participate as a vendor at our annual conference which will be held March 14 – 17, 2019 on the campus of the Lake Yale Baptist Center near Eustis, Florida, 40 miles northwest of Orlando, Florida. The campus is situated on a lake in beautiful central Florida.
The conference, which has been held for many years at this site, runs Thursday after lunch through Sunday noon. Mini-workshops are offered on Thursday afternoon and twelve 2 ½ day classes are offered Friday through Sunday noon. Evening events include annual state and District meetings, Fiber Exhibit, fashion show, and awards. The participants, with interests in fiber and related arts – weaving, spinning, dyeing, knitting, basketry, beading, polymer clay, etc. – represent 15 guilds from all overFlorida, and include a number of attendees from other states.
During the conference, FTWG has exclusive use of a large building that includes classrooms and a central auditorium/vendor area. An attendantis available at the conference desk during all times the building is open. Motel-type lodging is available across the street from the main building, and a cafeteria/dining room is next door.
Campsites are available for RVs.
Three vendor space sizes are available – $25, $50, and $100. All tables must fit within the rented space. Spaces are assigned on a first come, first served basis with registrations due no later than December 15, 2018. Sign up early to reserve your space!
Lake Yale charges vendors a fee of 10% of total sales. This fee will be collected by 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Vendors may stay in the lodging on campus. For those staying off campus, Lake Yale charges a $12.00 per day per person facility fee to cover insurance costs.
Vendors should be set up in the auditorium by 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, March 14, 2019, as participants will begin arriving 1 p.m. Vendors are expected to keep their booths open until 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17. Sale hours are set by the vendors with the exception of the times conference events are held in the auditorium (generally 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). Vendors may register for workshops or classes, if desired. Sign up on the Conference Registration Form attached. Security has never been a concern; however, FTWG is not responsible for vendors’inventory.
